Private 1:1 advisory for established dental practice owners
You became an owner. Nobody made you a leader first.
Decision-making, difficult conversations, distributed authority and the confidence to hold a standard — for owners, practice managers, clinical leads and the leaders coming through. In an owner-led practice, the owner is the operating system, and the team decides how far it scales.

If you’ve said any of these
- “I avoid the conversation, then it gets worse.”
- “I’m the only one who makes real decisions.”
- “I don’t know how to develop my manager.”
- “I go from too soft to too blunt.”
- “I’m leading the way I was led, and I hated it.”
What it usually really is
Leadership isn't a personality you have. It's a set of decisions you make.
Most owners lead by instinct, copied from whoever led them. That works while the practice is small and quietly fails as it grows: authority stays central, feedback arrives late, and the owner becomes both the standard and the bottleneck. Distributed leadership isn't letting go — it's deciding, explicitly, who holds what, then building the people to hold it. That is learnable, and it changes faster than most owners expect.

What’s different, specifically.
- The conversation you've been avoiding, had properly.
- A second and third decision-maker who are trusted publicly.
- Feedback happening weekly, not annually.
- A leadership rhythm the practice runs to.
- Less reacting. More deciding.

How we’d work it
No twelve-module curriculum. Five moves, in order.
01
How you currently lead
Your defaults under pressure, and what they cost the practice.
02
Decision rights
What only you should decide — and everything that shouldn't reach you.
03
The hard conversations
Prepared and rehearsed, so they happen once and land well.
04
Building leaders
Developing the manager and senior clinicians who will carry the standard.
05
Mindset
Getting honest about what you actually want the practice to be — and allowing it.
Proof
Distributed leadership, in practice.
Rhea's own practice runs on distributed leadership and a strong culture, with owner involvement now largely strategic. Her background is twenty-plus years in people, leadership and organisational performance, alongside practice ownership — which is why this work is behavioural rather than theoretical.
Straight answers
Is this coaching or consulting?
Both, deliberately. Some of it is deciding what should change in the practice; some of it is building your capability to make that change hold. Neither works alone in an owner-led business.
Do I have to become someone I'm not?
No, and the attempts usually fail. The work is about making your existing strengths deliberate, and adding the two or three behaviours that are genuinely missing.
Can you work with my practice manager rather than me?
I can work with them as well, and often do. But work that only touches the team gets undone by the owner's habits, so the owner is always part of it.
